HOW TO DONATE

1

.

Review Our Guidelines

Please check out the types of items we are accepting and not accepting (below).

2

.

Gather Your Items

Make sure anything you donate is clean and in working condition. If we can't sell it, we can't accept it. No broken vacuums or bags full of single socks, please:)

3

.

Come at the Right Time

Our donation lane is open from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., every day except Tuesday. Please don't leave donations outside during off hours; this just makes more work for our staff.

4

.

Drop Off Your Items

Our expert donation staff may reject any merchandise that can't be re-sold or is not right for our store. Anything we can take they will help you unload, and they'll give you a card for 10 percent off, good at both of our stores.

OUR COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY

Do Overs aims to be a different kind of thrift store. Our dedication to sustainability is at the core of everything we do. By encouraging people to embrace the beauty of secondhand treasures, we're making a positive impact on both our community and the environment. But that's not all. At Do Overs, we go the extra mile by recycling many of the items that we cannot resell or simply don't have room for on our floor, including clothing, metal, glass, and more.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What are your donation hours?
Icon

We accept donations from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., every day except Tuesday.

What is your return policy?
Icon

All sales are final, so be sure to try on those jeans before you buy them! No returns or exchanges, please.

Do you take furniture?
Icon

Yes, if it's in good condition and can be resold in our store.

Why should I donate to a for profit business?
Icon

We regularly donate to many local programs and nonprofits, including REACH, the HRDC's Warming Center, the Salvation Army, Heart of the Valley and others. We also consider taking care of our staff a major part of how we contribute. Our goal is to pay our employees a living wage, provide health insurance (which we just got, woo-hoo!), and basically be one of the best places to work in Bozeman. By shopping and donating with us, you make all of this possible.

If you don't want part of my donation, can't you just throw it away yourself?
Icon

Because of the volume of stuff that comes in through our donation line each week, we already have to throw way more into the dumpster than we would like. This means we are unable to be a trash service for the community: we simply don't have the staff or the space. That's why there are certain things we must say no to at the door, including anything that is broken or unsellable. (See a more complete list of things we don't take above.) We gratefully ask that you dispose of any broken, dirty, or damaged goods, or anything on our "do not take" list yourself.

Why is your staff so friendly and amazing?
Icon

We wish we could take credit, but it's just because they are awesome people! Really, aren't they so great?

Do you sell gift cards?
Icon

Yes we do! And our gift cards are good at both of our stores. Please inquire at the register to purchase.

Do you offer discounts or half off days?
Icon

We don't offer discounts or half off days because we feel it devalues the hard work of our employees. In today's market, would not be able to offer benefits or competitive wages if we did this.

Do you test electronics and other merchandise?
Icon

Yes, we test everything that comes through our door that might be sellable, and we'll even give you the batteries and light bulbs for free! And hey, we're more than happy to help you find an outlet in our store if you want to check something out for yourself. Please remember though: we are selling secondhand goods, and even stuff that has been tested may not be in perfect condition. Our prices reflect that, so purchase at your own risk.

ABOUT DO OVERS

Do Overs Thrift was started in July 2022 by Bruce Wendt, a longtime Bozeman resident and owner of Cash4Clothes Bozeman, one of Bozeman's best and most celebrated secondhand clothing stores. After the closing of Bozeman's Goodwill in Do Overs' current space, Bruce saw an opportunity to open a different kind of thrift store, focused on recycling and sustainability, that could serve the Bozeman community in a new way.

Two years in, Do Overs is doing great and loving it! Our staff has grown to almost 30 people across both stores, and we're continuously learning and growing. We see good things for the future, and we hope you'll join us on that journey.

COME WORK WITH US

We are always looking for hard working, enthusiastic, authentic and fun people to join our teams at Do Overs and our sister store, Cash4Clothes. Our amazing staff is truly at the heart of everything we do. We offer competitive pay, frequent opportunities for advancement, an awesome discount at both stores, 100 percent paid health insurance for full time employees after 60 days, cash bonuses, and a fun and friendly work environment.

OUR COMMUNITY OF BUSINESSES

As locally owned businesses, Do Overs Thrift and our sister store Cash4Clothes are deeply rooted in Bozeman's community spirit. We're more than just stores; we're your neighbors, your friends, and your partners in sustainable living. Every purchase you make supports our commitment to the environment and the local economy.
